What is deep tissue massage?
Deep tissue massage is performed using various massage techniques that allow the therapist to adapt the treatment to each client’s needs and any existing injuries. It is an effective therapy for releasing tension and working deep into the muscles.
Muscle tension can occur in many areas of the body, but what they have in common is that they can be relieved and treated with deep tissue massage. The treatment promotes relaxation and calm, improves blood circulation, and helps remove waste products from the body.
Deep tissue massage is also used preventively to avoid injuries and to alleviate muscular issues. It is tailored to anyone experiencing muscle tension or muscle pain.
Before starting, we always have a consultation to thoroughly review your pain or tension and create the right treatment plan for you—so you get the best possible results. No two bodies are the same, which is why deep tissue massage is an excellent choice: we can adapt it entirely to your individual needs.

Why do you get muscle pain?
Muscle pain arises from prolonged and repetitive movements over an extended period. Generally, muscle tension fluctuates depending on where you are in life. Tension is often experienced during sedentary work, such as working in front of a computer, or during focused physical activity where you sit for long periods performing the same movements. Therefore, it is important to move throughout the day. At Massage Experterne, we provide advice and guidance on what you personally can do to feel better. One thing is the treatment you receive, but getting guidelines for your daily life is just as important. After each treatment, we always have a conversation where we try to guide you towards a better everyday life with less tension.
Choose the Right Therapist the First Time with a RAB
At our clinic, all therapists are registered alternative practitioners (RAB) or are in the process of becoming one. The Registered Alternative Practitioner (RAB) scheme helps you as a customer navigate the alternative treatment market. In 2014, the Danish Health Authority introduced minimum requirements for how many hours an alternative practitioner must have completed in anatomy and physiology. Unfortunately, not all practitioners meet these standards.
To work with us, we require that our therapists meet the requirements to become registered alternative practitioners (RAB) or are currently working towards it. This ensures a high professional standard and always puts us a step ahead of our competitors. We strongly support this scheme because it protects you as a consumer and guarantees that your therapist has extensive training—not just a weekend course, which unfortunately happens far too often.

Subsidy through your health insurance
Many health insurances offer massage treatments. Therefore, always check if you can get a subsidy for your massage. You may have health insurance privately or through your employer. Many companies provide their employees with health insurance. So, always check whether your workplace has a health insurance policy that covers you. It is a requirement from the insurance company that the massage therapist is a registered alternative therapist (RAB). At Massage Experterne, all our therapists are registered alternative therapists or are in the process of becoming one.
